About

Dr. Elizabeth Miller, ND

I completed my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Throughout this four year degree I completed 3000 hours of classroom training and 1200 hours of clinical experience. During my fourth year internship I was accepted to the pediatric focus shift at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, where I treated children from infancy to 18 years old. I also completed a one year externship working alongside Dr. Sarah Goulding, ND where I furthered my training in hormone health and digestion.

Prior to my naturopathic education I completed a Master’s and Bachelor of Science in Human Health and Nutrition from the University of Guelph. This provided me with an extensive knowledge of nutrition and a strong foundation in scientific research which I integrate into my practice as an evidenced based clinician.

I am passionate about teaching holistic health to help women understand their bodies and get to the root cause of their health issues. My areas of special interest include women’s health, hormonal health, gastrointestinal health, and pediatrics.

I am a proud member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic DoctorsCanadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the College of Naturopaths of Ontario

How I Discovered Naturopathic Medicine

I discovered naturopathic medicine after struggling with chronic irritable bowel syndrome for many years. I saw multiple doctors with no solution, as IBS was not well understood at the time. I felt dismissed by my doctors after being told I would just have to live with the symptoms.

Not willing to give up, I continued to dig for a solution to my problems. I decided to take my health into my own hands, and devoted my master’s thesis to IBS research. I also began working with a naturopathic doctor who really helped me find solutions to alleviate the discomfort I was feeling.

After being exposed to the immense benefit of naturopathic medicine, I decided to pursue it as a career for myself. I wanted to help other women struggling with their health, and give them solutions while allowing them to feel heard.

Today my goal in working with you is to allow you to feel heard by your doctor, while addressing all aspects of your mind and body in treating your health. I deeply believe that our bodies are built to heal, and with the right tools, you can accomplish this too!
